Hi! I’m Erin. I design cute things for tiny humans.
I am a product designer specializing in toys, juvenile accessories, layette, trend research, and design strategy.
Growing up in a small town outside of Boston, I was always drawn to creative activities and my interest in art and design was fostered by many trips to the Museum of Fine Arts. I attended the Rhode Island School of Design where I discovered Industrial Design. I immediately loved the combination of creative problem solving and aesthetic form. At RISD I realized my aesthetic leaned toward the “cute” side of things, and after an internship with Hasbro I knew that designing products for children was my calling. I graduated in 2011 with a BFA in ID and immediately moved to New York City.
I spent 7 years in NYC working my way up the corporate ladder and honing my skills in soft goods design and development at Vera Bradley and at Skip Hop. In 2018 I moved to Pittsburgh, PA to start my own freelancing business. In 2021, I transitioned to a full-time remote position at SpinMaster working for the Early Learning team, including GUND and licensed toys.
If you’d like to contact me, please send an email to erinknowlton89@gmail.com. I am no longer accepting new freelance opportunities at this time, but feel free to say hello :)
